Waverly Kitchen & Bar in Charlestown, the most recent venture from the folks behind Monument Restaurant & Tavern, serves up classic and new American fare for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails — and brunch — every day.

Grab a seat in dining room, designed by Assembly Design Studio, just steps away from the Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail, where the rich browns and greens, bentwood-style chairs (and a leather wraparound banquette for bigger groups) are complemented by a mix of reclaimed, antique and vintage touches for an elegant, upscale bistro feel. If you prefer your meal with a view, pull up a stool at the bar or at the kitchen counter where you can watch the chefs cooking up your small plates and meal-worthy mains.

The drinks menu has a curated, bistro-sized collection of wines by the glass and bottle, and there is a thoughtful collection of handcrafted cocktails (including a couple of crafty spritz’s), plus a solid selection of local drafts, cans and bottles for beer and cider drinkers. And where there’s brunch, there’s coffee — as well as sparkling waters, mocktails, and fresh-pressed juices.
