About
Jacky Robert, one of Boston’s best-loved French chefs, opened the first Petit Robert on the Left Bank of Kenmore Square in 2005. The two-tiered eatery, complete with a 12-seat pastry bar, a cozy seasonal patio and a scaled down version of the Eiffel Tower, was a hit with diners in search of classic French fare sans Parisian prices or a trace of attitude.
A year later, Petit Robert Bistro came to the South End, opening a location on Columbus Avenue. Featuring the same authentic French fare as its predecessor (think: steak frites, duck confit and frog's legs), the classic bistro has an even bigger patio for dining en plein air, its own mini Eiffel Tower as well as a welcoming bar.
