Housed in the State Theater (also known as the Milton Cinema), Novara aims to be an equally vital part of the East Milton community. Instead of sitting down with jujubes and a popcorn to watch West Side Story of Jaws, guests can sit down to a meal of approachable and appealing Italian fare.
The dining room showcases the 23-foot ceilings and the Adams Street entry retains the character of its predecessor. But the owners, who also own and operate nearby Abby Park, have added a large island bar with access through glass-folding doors, a display kitchen, and a large roll down projection screen for viewing sporting events and live video streaming of restaurant and community events. They've also made room for an elegant wine room with wood beams and rustic lighting ideal for small parties, and a 20-person courtyard, complete with glowing firepits.
Novara rivals the quality and authenticity of Boston's North End restaurants in a suburban setting while remaining a casual neighborhood bar and restaurant.
