The first restaurant for chef-owner Steve \"Nookie\" Postal, Commonwealth is a restaurant/ market hybrid offering the best in local farm-to-table food right in the heart of vibrant Kendall Square. Capitalizing on long-standing relationships with New England farmers, fishermen, cheesemongers and purveyors, the restaurant brings whatever's freshest to the table all year round. Ingredients shine in simple executions, often served family style.

The 6,500 square foot space, with reclaimed wood and vintage furniture like original school chairs and tables made of recycled shipping pallets, brings a rustic feel to an otherwise tech-heavy neighborhood. Diners can choose from among seats in the dining room, market, raw bar, bar and lounge, and private parties can be hosted at the 10-person chef's table, private dining room, seasonal roof deck or grassy area just outside.
