You’ll feel right at home in Cambridge’s Central Square with a visit to Althea inside the 907 Main hotel. The second restaurant from co-owners Greg Reeves and Shauna Reyburn, the duo behind Viale, combines approachable American eats with a relaxed, stylish neighborhood vibe.

Althea is an ideal stop for light bites and drinks with a selection of hot and cold snacks and salads, or order up a plate of briny bites from the raw bar menu. Larger appetites can go for substantial mains, many of which have spent some time in Reeves’ smoker. Mix and match your meal with a succinct list of rotating craft cocktails, or sample from the menu of wines by the glass and bottle, local craft beers, or non-alcoholic options.

The space boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Main Street and Lafayette Square for some prime people watching, and the dining room feels comfortable and upscale with exposed brick walls, plush banquettes, greenery and natural sunlight. In warmer months there is a spacious, private outdoor dining area with its own bar, including covered space for rainy days, plus there’s room for live music and outdoor grilling.
